Held:
Softening Fear. Supporting Connection in Birth and Beyond.
About Held:
To give birth requires connection, softness, and an openness to the profound experience unfolding. Culturally, many women are being moved further away from the natural instincts that support empowered birth.
Facilitated by a psychotherapist and somatic body-oriented coach, Held is a group program offering a unique space for both mother and partner to ground in the whole body–mind. Through cultivating deep connection to self, partner, and baby, we gently explore and soften fears around pregnancy and birth.
We recognise that the transition into parenthood is a profound rite of passage — one that asks parents to loosen their hold on an old life while tenderly stepping toward a new one. This group offers space to consciously meet that transition, nurturing your relationship with yourself, your baby, and each other as you move into the world of parenthood.
As a trauma-informed group, we offer a safe and nurturing space to gently welcome any past experiences that may be influencing you in the present — during pregnancy, labour, and beyond birth.
There is no judgment here, and no expectations about how birth “should” unfold. Instead, this is a space to explore what helps you feel ready, calm, supported, and empowered as you step into the ancient, primal wisdom of parenthood,
